How do I know if I am ready for counseling?

As you determine whether or not you need counseling, ask yourself if you are fulfilled in your life. If you find there are areas in your relationships, in your spiritual walk, or in your day-to-day thought life that are not functioning well, then it is likely time to seek counseling. The hardest part is making the first appointment.

How long is a counseling session?

The initial session is typically 90 minutes. Bonnie will conduct an assessment of what you are struggling with, discuss what you have tried in the past and also any concerns you have about counseling. Counseling sessions following that initial assessment session will generally be 50-60 minutes. When utilizing trauma therapy methods, counseling sessions often last 90 minutes.

How many counseling sessions will I need?

The number of sessions suggested will vary depending on individual needs and ability to work through an action plan. Our goals will be to help you resolve past hurts, gain freedom from your current struggles, receive hope for your future and find purpose and identity in God.

Fees & Insurance

$120 per session.  Bonnie is a participating provider with Blue Cross Blue Shield and out of network with all other insurance.  Before your first appointment you will need to contact your insurance company to verify your “outpatient mental health benefits” including your copay amount, deductible and authorization if needed.

If you have insurance that is not part of BCBS, you may file and seek reimbursement directly from your insurance company.  Your insurance company may or may not completely cover the cost of counseling.  If you plan to use insurance, contact a plan representative at your company to determine whether your company will reimburse you and the schedule of reimbursement used.

Payment is required at the time of service.  Any reimbursement from the insurance company is returned directly to you. You are responsible for filing with your insurance company. We will give you the required receipt with information to do so.

70x7 accepts cash, checks, credit cards, HSA and flex spending cards.  There is a sliding scale available upon request.
